Gisele Bundchen for Chanel No 5

Gisele Bundchen for Chanel No 5

I've always had mixed feelings about fashion films, sometimes I do see some great ones but then sometimes I see some that I think don't actually do anything and are just a series of images like a photo slideshow. Then along comes something like this absolute gem from Chanel with the mesmerising Giselle and it shows us all exactly how adverts / fashion films and everything else should be done.
I simply can't get over Giselle's beauty..is she seriously real ? I mean I've never met her..are we sure she's not some amazing generated 3D graphic ?

Outfit Post : Playing in the Waves in Riccione

caroline paris stylist

With all the London Fashion Week related posts Riccione seems like a million years away but right before going off to London I travelled to Riccione with Ferragiu to work backstage at the New Model Today competition, you can read more about that here. The morning of the event, the hubby and I decided to go for a walk on the beach, the weather was warm but a little breezy at certain times of day so I carried around a big scarf for when I felt chilly. I got tempted to dip my feet in the seas but ran away at the impending heart attack - cooooold.

Outfit Post : It's All About the EYES

Any one who works in the fashion industry knows how hoard it is to stop yourself constantly buying every lovely/cool/stylish item you come across but it must be done . Every once in a while you come across something so beautiful you can't resist it, so precious it has to become yours.

That's exactly how I felt when I first set my eyes on these stunning Chanel sunglasses at Solaris Sliema, they're just beautiful....reflective lenses...gold trimmings, heavy, durable materials...and then the packaging.....yes I know we may more for that but look at it....

Outfit Post : Alta Roma Outfit - Hearts & Fringes at Grimaldi

My trip to Rome and AltaRoma was a bit of a spur-of-the moment decision (thanks Ferramoda)  and I didn't really have time to properly plan outfits etc. Not to worry, there a lots of shops in Rome. As you must have heard me mention a few times already, when possible, I do like to wear a piece the designer has created when I attend said designer's show. For Antonio Grimaldi's show, I visited his boutique in central Rome (Via della Vite) and bought one of his tees with his signature heart logo emblazoned on the front. It has a nice fit and I think the pattern logo is lovely.

I'm also sporting a brand new Coccinelle bag, a leather skirt from Zara which I also bought from Rome and my also brand new Dolce and Gabbana shades from Solaris Malta and a vintage Chanel necklace I treated myself to also from Rome.

Outfit Post : Roaming around Paris in a pair of Hunters - Birthday

At Chanel !!!! 31, rue Cambon
Sooo since I've been told to stop procrastinating and get on with the 'Paris Posts' - here goes the first of man to come...since I went to Paris to celebrate my birthday.. I thought it fitting to start with that day. How did I spend it ....shopping of course..unfortunately it rained literally all day long, the only day it did that! But it was still a great day.

That day I decided I wanted to complete a mini tour of the high end boutiques, had a huge list of shops to visit with all the heavy weights included: Didier Ludot (vintage Chanel, Hermes, Dior in all their sparkling glory), the original Chanel of course, Laffayette, Balenciaga, Maison Martin Margiela, the original Louboutin, Repetto and many many more.

What did I wear ? So comfort and style and general funness plus an element of newness were the tall orders of the day - soooo I decided to wear a new sweater just given to me by Marisa Grima, Noelene Miggiani and Yvonne Desira Buttigieg - thanks guys!. A skirt I bought a while ago from Zara but never got around to wearing, a brand new awesome Coccinelle pure wool hat, my Coccinelle cross body bag, a pair of convertible mittens, and my HUNTER BOOTS

Peeps wellies are my newest addiction/obsession, I was already addicted to my Aldo biker short wellies and my yellow postman pat- style ones, then I bought these Hunter Wellington Boots in Vienna and that's it - I'm a welly girl now -- Once I saw them, I had to buy the fur socks too, super super warm!

Hat, Bag : Coccinelle / Sweater : Mango / Gloves : Accessorize / Boots : Hunter / Skirt : Zara

Lunch at the famous Angelina - chestnut soup and divine African Hot Chocolate...yumm!

And more shopping - decided to swap hats with an H&M one I bought on the day since it kept raining ....

In the evening the hubby took me to watch Crazy Horse - seriously the best show ever - amazing dancing, amazing projections, loved every minute! And prawns and scallops followed by crème brûlée for dinner with a perfect view of the Eiffel tower - HEAVENLY!

Brilliant Birthday!!

Thanks to my darling hubby for organising it all and having unlimited amounts of patience for my endless shopping :)

Random Post : Turning 30 and a Wishlist

The day is soon here, the day I no longer form part of either the teen or twenteeen club but join the ranks of 'the more mature' thirty club; I will now start ticking the other box. Truth be told, I'm not scared of getting older, I'm happy with my life and feel like I'm making the most of every part of it..but somehow 30 still feels like a bit of a big deal.

Normally, over the years, I have always kept stating I am x years old until the actual day of my birthday at which time it turns to x+1 but this time for some reason, for the past few months, when asked my age, the number 30 has been exiting my mouth....maybe I've been subconsciously preparing myself for what I feel is a bit of a life milestone.

I used to think that my image would change when I reached 30, that I'd definitely be wearing different clothes, wearing my hair differently (that part is currently true but it's only temp) and whilst of course my style has evolved over the years..I'm not sure 'tuning 30' is having anything to do with it...however I will say that as I grow older I am understanding my body more and more and leaning to buy more 'investment pieces', favouring quality over quantity and not wasting money over fads.

With this in mind no birthday of mine could ever be complete without a dream wishlist..here are my top ten wishes ...I might buy myself one of these babies..after all I have to give myself a gift right?

30th birthday wishlist
Left to Right: Hermes Scarf/ Chanel necklace/ Chanel Classic Flap Bag/Miu Miu coat/ Louboutin Pumps/ Michael Kors Watch in rose gold/ Coccinelle Pink bag with gold chain/ Coccinelle Wallet/ Kenzo Eye Sweater

A girl must have dreams right?
