Events Post : Charles & Ron at Corinthia Palace Hotel & Spa

Last week, Charles and Ron, Malta's most established designers, unveiled a micro summer collection at the fabulous Corinthia Palace Hotel & Spa. It was a beautiful, well-organised event that I thoroughly enjoyed, it was attended by their esteemed clientele as well as people who work within the industry and have supported them throughout the years. What I loved most about the event was the all-round jubilant mood, putting aside the fact that people tend to be in a good mood in Summer, everyone who was there seemed genuinely happy to be there, happy to be showing support to the designers and has a great admiration for their work. This last part was also evident in the way many guests raided the store (also in Corinthia) the minute they realised that there's a 30% off promotion throughout August (you might want to run to the store infact).

The pic above was the grand finale piece, a standout fifties-inspired dress that the gorgeous Daniela pulled off with a lot of oomph. The rest of the collection had a very summery, colourful vibe with lovely tailoring and beautiful prints and fabrics. The picture below shows what appeared to be the main print of this micro collection. A very striking print, I love the way the different colours blend into each other without any harsh separations. My favourite piece is the first one, modelled by Amy, such a pretty, flattering cut.

Below, pastel mint colour also made an appearance on mid-length and floor length gowns that are the perfect outfits for a summer wedding or formal party.

Cobalt blue is such a striking colour and flattering on so many different skin tones. I found both these dresses very interesting with the second one giving off a slightly more casual appearance due to its somewhat sporty suggestion in the neckline.

These three dresses below all stole my heart for different reasons, the first lilac one has that touch of lace that is just sweet perfection, the middle dress is very chic but at the same time gives off an effortless vibe and the last one screams stunning goddess.

Beautiful pink fabric combined with lace is always magical. I think I prefer the longer version of this dress though as I feel the proportions seem to work better or maybe it's because there's more pink.

Purple, or Radiant Orchid as Pantone have named it, is one of the main colours for the approaching fall season, so these dresses below could be ones to buy now and wear in a few months time to any of the umpteenth events that seem to exist in Autumn and the first part of Winter. My favourite is the first one worn by model Jacqui - so chic!

A lovely evening in great company looking at beautiful clothes designed by extremely talented local designers - what more could a girl ask for ?

Outfit Post : High Tea, Scones and a Helping of Pink

Last weekend I received a lovely invitation from Corinthia Palace Hotel (Attard, Malta) inviting me and three friends over for high tea....seeing as it was a very exhausting week/month/life this invitation was received with a lot of glee and I immediately set about planning the event. I rounded up my friends and on Sunday afternoon off we went.

Delicious Scones!

I decided to wear something cool and fun and yes more pink..I'm in a pink phase..can't be helped...

So a checked blazer that doesn't get enough wear...a sequinned knit top that I adore..skinny jeans that probably get too much wear, a pair of retro winter boots and another cute pink Coccinelle bag were the order of the day. Last but not least a fabulous pair of earrings from Marpesia&Co!

Blazer : Benetton / Top : Zara / Shoes : London / Jeans : New Look / Bag : Coccinelle / Earrings : Marpesia&Co

The high tea was wonderful, with lots of different sandwiches, mini deserts.. scrumptious scones and of course lots of tea...the presentation was perfect as was the attentive service...we had a really wonderful time and spent over three hours there !

Mouth Watering Deserts

Check out the smiles on a super happy well-fed group of girls
Finishing off with a bottle of Prosecco

If you're looking for a great way to spend an afternoon / late evening and a chance to catch up with some old friends then I really suggest visiting the Corinthia Palace Hotel & Spa for this champagne high tea, it's a wonderful way to spend a good 3 - 4 hours.
