OUTFIT POST : AT ALTA ROMA DAY 2

Here's what I wore on Day 2 - it was still freezing and it was also raining - this was a really fun day - the morning wasn't busy with shows so I spent it walking around the shops, there was an afterparty and we ate at the Roscioli Salumeria - brilliant!

BTW check out my nails in the photo above - I think they're the star of the outfit (thanks Femme Beauty Attard for this combo) - I'm really enjoying having long pointed/ almond shaped  nails although they are so impractical - the amount of delicate scarves they keep inserting themselves into is getting out of hand, they seem to get caught in everything and if you accidentally scratch yourself - it hurts!

I'm really happy with this hat - I bought it from River Island on sale for like 4 euros and it's pure wool so kept me really warm.

Outfit Post : At Alta Roma Day 1

This weekend was mostly spent indoors - the hubby has a nasty case of food poisoning and all my countless weekend plans went straight into the 'rubbish bin'. However, last weekend was a brilliant one - I spent it in Rome for AltaRoma, watching beautiful haute-couture, AltaModa fashion, eating too much food, shopping (any doubt ?) and meeting with the other members of the Chamber of Fashion Malta to discuss upcoming projects.

Here's what I wore on Day 1 - first of all it was freezing - freezing and fashion don't go well together, and then to make matters worse, inside the show locations was of course, heated and hot and stuffy. It's also impossible not to need to walk, even if you use taxis, you need to walk to the taxi stand and Rome is full of cobbles, some broken....I think if I lived in Rome I'd retire all my heels...

Below and Above - at the show in the Alta Roma official show tent.

Back onto the streets.................I'm in love with this Enrico Coveri coat - a very recent birthday present from the parents - in Rome I realised it's also very, very warm since it's made of 100% wool.

Thank the heavens for sneakers / trainers and their current return into the fashion world.

Because it was so cold I ended up wearing two pairs of thermal tights and socks on top of each other - my walk felt a tad bit restricted..

Trends Post : 'Tis the season 4 a YELLOW coat

It's Christmas soon and I've already put my little Xmas trees out - time for snow, coats, wellies, gloves...yes I still live in Malta.. maybe the snow part is a little bit of an exaggeration.......but the temperatures have already dropped and I was quite cold and miserable last Saturday.

This brings us to yellow , now I know some people dislike wearing yellow but for me yellow is the colour of the sun, the colour of happiness and bright, happy days, on a cold winter day yellow lifts up my spirits and makes me smile.....yellow just plainly rules.

This really pretty and warm coat from MAX&Co. Sliema is pretty, warm, and best of all YELLOW. You can wear something like this literally anywhere - the bright colour makes it a lovely daytime coat but the fur adds a touch of elegance so it would also look lovely over a glitzy piece...I'm in love with it.
