The lack of sleep, time to sit down and rest is catching up with me finally and I'm running out of words, so for this post sufficient to say that check out yesterday's outfit, there's a little bit of gold, a little bit of black and a little bit of green. Oh and that bun of course - my hair grew overnight :)

Milan Fashion Week : BVLGARI A/W 15/16 ACCESSORIES

Yesterday I was very fortunate to be invited by BVLGARI to view their new Autumn Winter Collection. The presentation was at the BVLGARI Hotel in Milan, a gorgeous building.

As is to be expected, BVLGARI's accessories are perfectly made, no detail has been missed and their designs are well researched evoking BVLGARI's past collections and traditions.

Among others, one of the new styles is this lovely Serpentini Bauletto Bag, the bag is being produced in amethyst violet, ocean turquoise and a lovely shade of pink rubellite as well as different exotic skins. Colours that mirror jewels is something the brand is renowned for. The beautiful handle is inspired by the snake bracelet watch produced in the 60s.

A good talking point here, is that the little details inside the bag are given as much importance as the the details outside. I'm often disappointed with interiors even with expensive bags, sometimes the inside of the bag is not real leather or hasn't been finished to a degree of quality that matches the exterior. At BVLGARI, the inside is lined with beautiful suede of a contrasting colour, whilst the piping inside matches the leather of the exterior - stunning!

Above is the Serpentine Forever Flap Bag in tiger's eye calf leather featuring 3D inlaid scales in gold layers skin.

Below is the new BVLGARI-BVLGARI signature bag - an interesting combination of calf leather and black plexi glass giving the bag a very modern, original look - love the magnetic closure featuring the signature BVLGARI ring.

And for one of my personal faves in terms of leather finish - this hologram effect takes hours to produce since it involves tanning and re tanning the leather to ensure even dispersion of the colour desired.

What I found very interesting, is the excellent new range of BVLGARI sunglasses. In previous years I haven't always been too enamoured with their sunglasses range finding them a bit too fussy and possibly a bit tailored to the older generation. These new styles are modern and stylish with a lovely look whilst of course still retaining the excellent quality and those little details such as pink gold and diamonds serpentini scales on the side.

This cat-eye shape sits really well on most face shapes.

Trends Post : SNEAKERS IN GOLD

max&co_sneakers

Remember those days when the idea of what we call 'yellow gold' fell out of favour?  When not only was this precious metal discarded from the realm of fashion but even as a colour, it was almost frowned upon. It's been a while now since fashion reasoning turned full circle and re-embraced this old friend but occasionally I still get comments like "but isn't gold too loud and out of fashion now?". I love gold, maybe because let's face it I tend to like eclectic, fun, fashion and gold has all of that or maybe because it reminds me of the reverence with which I held jewellery as a child.. who knows..either way, I do have a particular fondness for it.

This brings me to the point of my post and it's all about these gold sneakers I just set my eyes on at MAX&Co. this morning. I've known they were on their way to the island for a while, as their brand ambassador I got a sneak peek look at the catalogs but photos don't actually do these beauties justice. As you must know, I've been stating for a while now that SNEAKERS are THE SHOE of the season but these shoes - these are not just normal sneakers, these are leather, luxe, comfortable, shiny beauties.

Outfit Post : It's all about FUR

Day 4 at London Fashion Week SS15 - You night recall my mega exciting news that come September I was to be brand ambassador for Max&Co Malta, well, we decided to kick it off at London Fashion Week with this AMAZING faux fur coat - it's a beautiful mix of blue and black colours and the texture is absolutely brilliant, soft and smooth..a part of me was worried someone might think it's real and throw a bucket of red paint at me....

My outfit post shooting got a lucky break here, I had Kris Micallef to shoot my photos *yipeee*..coincidentally we were both working for the same magazine Noctis Magazine so  we spent soeme time together covering the shows and snapping some street style. We also visited the ME Hotel right outside Somerset House which has THE most amazing press room ever - check out the view.

We both loved this designer's outfit!

And for some much more mediocre detail shots (shot by me)

Outfit Post : Yellow & Black | Gold & Bronze

About a month ago I went to the Fossil Birthday celebrations. It had been a long day so I felt like wearing something comfortable - these trousers from River Island are really really awesome..I've actually bought three of them (different patterns and colours) and I wore my Antonio Grimaldi top again - remember my review of his AltaRoma show

I also wore a new piece of the new Coccinelle collection, this bag is absolutely gorgeous, such a wonderful colour, brown/bronze/gold..I'm not quite sure what to call this colour.

Outfit Post : MERCEDEZ-BENZ FASHION WEEK MALTA - DAY 7 - THE MISSING GOLD LINK

You may have realised there was a missing malta fashion week outfit post last week - the last one - DAY 7 - International Designers Night. The reason for this was because since the next day was fashion awards I knew it would get lost in the crowd and this one is a little bit special as it's split in two parts - the process and the wearing. You know how I always say that I like to wear featured designers at their shows, well, last Friday, I cheated terribly, it was International Designers and instead I wore something by a local Maltese designer - Ritienne Zammit - actually I wore a catwalk look head-to-toe AND I had a partner in crime but more on that to come.....

So for the process, I visited Ritienne at her studio to choose the outfit for the night, I was impressed by how in theme with her designs the whole place is....it really felt like her character is embodied in the place, no wonder she creates such fantastic designs.

Of course there had to be Selfie time to capture my denim-on-denim - Outfit Details : All Jennyfer

And now for the outfit - I chose to wear the matching gold crop top and skirt with a brocade bodysuit worn underneath buttt I also got to wear something that Ritienne hadn't yet unveiled - THE FUR BEANIE - this is so warm and so much fun to wear. I paired the outfit with silver wedge sneakers from Aldo to complete the whole street-look concept.

The outfit is quite extreme of course - it's a catwalk look so not designed to be worn to an everyday occasion as is, but for the night it was a whole load of fun and definitely got Ritienne's clothes some attention. The way to transport these clothes to a wardrobe would be to buy the individual pieces and wear them with more 'normal-looking' pieces..e.g. the crop top/bodysuit with a black leather skit.

And for my matching partner in crime - Daniel from Devil Wears Praduh also wore Ritienne's catwalk look :)

with Marisa Grima and Robert Galea
The biggest problem of the night though was the fact that it was freezing, really really cold and infact I only lasted a grand total of 15 minutes, after which a sweater came on..luckily it happened to be maroon.
With new local designer - LUKKA - very talented guy

OUTFIT POST : MERCEDEZ-BENZ FASHION WEEK MALTA - DAY 6 - LACE, WANG, QUEENS & CUSTOMISED JEWELLERY

Day 6 and another outfit - this time one worthy of the beautiful Maltese National Library. Books, books, everywhere - seriously impressive building!

For this day, I wished an outfit that is classical and elegant but at the same time still me and therefore a bit 'different'. I recently bought a leopard, fitted midi skirt from Warehouse that I thought was perfect and I also had a beautiful, new lace top from M&Co in valletta (this is NOT the same store as Max&Co that I spoke about yesterday, I must have said that about 10 times last night so thought I'd clarify in advance - M&Co is the store that replaced the old BHS in Valletta).

I also took my Alexander McQueen jacket out to play andddd a customised piece of jewellery by the lovely Yana from Yana's jewellery - she made it especially to go with this outfit and it really lent a stunning effect.

I then decided that my Alexander wang bag and these blue laser cut shoes I purchased in Istanbul completed the look perfectly and off I went.
