Outfit Post : Alta Roma Outfit - Hearts & Fringes at Grimaldi

My trip to Rome and AltaRoma was a bit of a spur-of-the moment decision (thanks Ferramoda)  and I didn't really have time to properly plan outfits etc. Not to worry, there a lots of shops in Rome. As you must have heard me mention a few times already, when possible, I do like to wear a piece the designer has created when I attend said designer's show. For Antonio Grimaldi's show, I visited his boutique in central Rome (Via della Vite) and bought one of his tees with his signature heart logo emblazoned on the front. It has a nice fit and I think the pattern logo is lovely.

I'm also sporting a brand new Coccinelle bag, a leather skirt from Zara which I also bought from Rome and my also brand new Dolce and Gabbana shades from Solaris Malta and a vintage Chanel necklace I treated myself to also from Rome.

Brand Spotlight : Do you know WHO YOU ARE ? & #win 50€ from #SOLARIS

Sunglasses are a wonderful material object that serve a few unique purposes, that of changing your image to mysterious/chic/quirky/funky, that of hiding your wrinkles/spots/half-your-face/, that of adding colour and interest to an outfit...and oh yes that of protecting your eyes from the sun and allowing you to see without squinting. I believe in owning a couple....ahem *several*..... pairs of sunglasses and selecting according to my mood/outfit/day-in-the-world......but lets face it.....a lot of the best pairs don't come cheap..soooo a competition to offset part/all of a new pair caught my attention and is right up my summer alley.

My Styling Work : Male Trends for Spring&Summer

This week I decided I felt like conducting a spot of impromptu male Spring/Summer styling, so I accosted poor Rickie (who was really not at all amused) at Armani Jeans Baystreet and persuaded him into modelling three outfits for me 

The first outfit is perfect for the current weather....a light blazer (loving the textured material and those buttons!), a bright tee, jeans, light coloured brogues, an optional light scarf and a lovely leather bag to carry all your earthly possessions.. 

Second outfit gets a bit tougher, a leather jacket with chrome trimmings , a striped black&grey polo, white long shorts and trainers....a very 'in trend' look that's both cool and hipster at the same time. I have to give a bit of more attention to the jacket....I love leather, that's a fact but this is a really beautiful jacket and really lightweight..and impressively soft.

And for the last outfit, my favourite...we've got a bit more fun, polka dot! shirt , long blue shorts and espadrilles! and an optional straw hat addition that Rickie hated and I loved ...oh and yea awesome electric blue sunglasses ....super duper fun!
