Last Saturday at Cafe del Mar along with the Saturday afternoon chill-out party atmosphere, they introduced a new concept called Fashion del Mar whereby some brands showcased some highlights from their Spring/Summer collection.
Here's a snippet of what River Island displayed and some of the key trends:
- WHITE - think head-to-toe bright sparkling white - there's nothing more gorgeous than white in summer and this year it's a really really big trend, as a side trend white lace is big again.
- MONOCHROME - white and black is carrying over from the Winter season and it looks just as fab in summer
- CROP TOPS - yep these are still around this year
- DENIM - is denim ever not in ?
- FANNY PACKS - arghh not sure whether to love or hate this one but you have to admit there is at the very least the comfort appeal.
Timberland displayed and some lovely male fashion, it feels as though their designs have a bit more structure and tailoring to them than they used to. The shirts in particular have a lovely fit.
