Outfit & Event Post : Tartan, Gold, Leather & Doctor Martens

Last week I blogged about my visit to the launch of the La Prairie Cellular Range. On the day I actually had another event - remember Bling Bling ?..I wrote about it here, She organised an event at her store on the night related to make up and skincare and general personal grooming; she also had some key specialists over and it was all very nice and fun.

Here's what I wore to both events - I was mega excited to wear my DMs (Doctor Martens) for the first time - yippeee yey - 90s revival..I'm a child of the 90s so the return of DMs fills me with utmost glee especially because I actually skimped out the first time round, I didn't own a pair...this time I wasn't missing the boat.

I also decided to wear a tartan skirt that I bought at the star of Winter but for some reason has been sitting there awaiting the right occasion, my leather jacket and a super chic black hat I picked up in Paris. Last but not least a fab Coccinelle bag from their new Spring/Summer collection - isn't it super delicious ?..I love the gold hardware detailing and saddle shape.

Shoes : Doctor Martens / Bag : Coccinelle / Skirt : Zara / Leather Jacket : Moda International / Top : Old / Hat : Paris

Trends Post : Vivienne Westwood Red Label at London Fashion Week AW14

One of the Queens of British Fashion Vivienne Westwood did not disappoint as she presented an exciting, vivid collection for her Red Label at London Fashion Week.

The look she went for is the post-war, classic, well groomed British ladies, nipped in waists, tailored jackets, furs along with some 80s and Victorian influence (fur trimmed shorts and velvet pantaloons). Smudged red lipstick and bright pink cheeks were the order of the day along with hairstyles reminiscent of the 80s. Tartan was a predominant pattern (great - tartan is definitely still in next yea too !),  and lots and lots of colour. LOVE it!

Watch the show below (you must click on watch on youtube once it starts as this is the propert of lfw):
