Outfit Post : Monochrome at Night

I've had a few too many long-winded posts recently so with this one I'm giving you a break from my writing. Sufficient to say that I'm really feeling the monochrome trend this Spring which is one we're carrying over from Winter all the way to Summer and next Winter.

This is an outfit I wore last Friday to the Diesel/Patron Party and the opening of Garbo at Tigne Point - What's Garbo you Ask ? a brand new store carrying higher end brands such as Cerruti , Henry Cottons and more, scroll down and there's a photo collage for you to get a bit of an idea on what's in the store.

Shopping : Spring at F&F

It's that time of year, when every shop starts to seem like one big, bright, flower garden - this year even more so, with floral patterns being absolutely EVERYWHERE . I was thinking, it might be a fun idea to have a picnic in a store one of these days, you know, until the rain stops and we can go in actual gardens...do you think the store would mind ?..We can promise not to touch the clothes with sticky fingers or drop wine or chocolate ..oh and we can pinky swear to take lots of selfies with the flowers. Who's joining me ?

If you're not sure what F&F is - then you're getting a 'copy' for not paying attention - it opened its doors a few months ago. There's still a sale ongoing for the Winter Collection. Besides all the florals, in the new collection, there's also lots of MONOCHROME which was also a popular trend last Winter (remember to keep those pieces that can transition between seasons handy).

In case your delicates didn't survive the Winter ...they've also got a great 20% off promotion on underwear and lounge clothes until 21st February

Flick through the slideshow below for moreeeee stuff ...now about that picnic

Events Post : LFW : Hakaan Yildirim SS15

The last on schedule show at London Fashion Week and the last show I watched before catching a plane back home was H by Hakaan Yildirim. It was a great way to end the week for a number of reasons, first off I love the Somerset catwalk, big, white, the attention is completely on the models and their outfits at all times and I got to sit on the front row again which meant I had a perfect view of everything. The first pic and the next set are mine..the subsequent better ones are the official press ones by getty images.

Hakaan's inspiration for his SS15 collection was -
"the releationship between human beings. The relation between humans and nature in general"

His collection featured an explosion of colour  - yellow, green, red orange, black and white. If looking at these pictures, reminds you of bees, don't be alarmed, bees were actually one of Hakaan's main inspiration for this collection and in particular the structured shapes of some of the pieces. The pieces also featured details such as embroidery, beading, handmade lace. I loved the collection, it was interesting and original, and the unique accessories really enhanced the look - LOVEE the sunvisor.

Shopping Post : The Most Beautiful Shop in Malta (IMO)

Regular readers must assume by now that I love shopping and tend to spend a good portion of my time in shops. There are many shops in Malta I enjoy visiting, for different reasons, some have amazing products, some have a great vibe and some have brilliant sales.

However, I know of only one shop that resembles something akin to a museum, that is so beautiful and historic, I spend as much time looking at the actual building and stonework features as I do the clothes and that is Tommy Hilfiger in Valletta. If you've never been inside this store then make it a point to step inside when you're next in Valletta - this is one place seriously worth visiting, irrespective of whether or not you like the clothes.

However, since after all this is a fashion blog and this is a shopping post you may have realised that this week's instalment of Caroline visits a shop and tells you what's in stock is Tommy Hilfiger in Valletta.

Although on my last visit to the store there were some bright colours in the women's section, I was not expecting what I saw yesterday. The Palm Springs Collection is seriously stylish, bright and cheerful and with all the Tommy trademarks - high quality, superb tailoring, and lovely fabric. I fell in love with a really lot of pieces - there are beautiful dresses that one can easily wear to a wedding, really stylish accessories, lovely shirts and lots more.

Here are some photos to give you an idea but take my advice and visit for yourself ...trust me

For those residing in or visiting little Malta there are Tommy Hilfiger Stores in Valletta and Baystreet, St Julians. Since it's popular and all they have a facebook page right here.

Shopping Post : Hitting Armani Jeans at The Point

First of all some interesting news, over the next few months I am going to be collaborating with Armani Jeans Malta which is just super duper because I really love the brand; they have such stylish clothes! I decided to hang around the store at the Point yesterday evening and check out their new collection and I decided that for this week's edition of 'Caroline hits a store and shows you their new stock'  we have -  Armani Jeans at the Point.

*Interesting Fact - did you know that Armani Jeans Baystreet and Armani Jeans, The Point do not necessarily stock the same things?*

The store at the Point is located on the topmost level of the mall and I really like the way it's styled, with a TV showing related commercials/shows, different stands and shelving positioned throughout the shop and just a really nice vibe without any pretentious or formal airs. Although I'm right at home in a bazaar-dig-through-mountains-of-stuff-kind-of shop, sometimes it's just really nice to be in a really nice shop.

So right about NOW is definitely the right time to check out some pics of the store and their latest stock that I slaved over for hours and hours and hours....

Because women are more important..and must always come first....the first pics are of course of womenswear

Some nice colours!
Nautical stripes are always around in Spring and Summer aren't they?
The faded ones in the middle are tugging at my willpower ..hmmm..

BELOW : ONLY FOR MEN - NO WOMEN ALLOWED

Really like the colour of these jeans

This season it's all about trainers and sneakers, loving the colour on these ones.
Just about every colour of polo shirt you could possibly wish for.

In case you want more Armani Jeans or just like the brand you can follow them on their facebook page here

Shopping Post : Great DRESSES at Jane

As promised, here is the second instalment in the series - what's in the stores this new season? I visited Jane Norman and they have some great dresses, sometimes after the festive season, it can be hard to find great dresses, it seems that the ones in the shops are always too casual or too sparkly (left over from xmas) at Jane I was pleasantly surprised to find a great variety, there are some delicate, pretty options, some super sparkly ones, traditional bodycons, which I'm no longer too keen on but ppl keep loving, and lots of different colour options!

Check out some photos which I snapped of some of my fave spotted items :

Visit the sale on both in Sliema and Valletta! P.S. Follow Jane Norman on facebook -  Jane Norman. The store can be found in both Sliema and Valletta in Malta.

Shopping Post : Some Bright Leather at Coccinelle - S/S 14

The sun is shining today and although it is still presently a bit cold, the beauty of Maltese weather is such that we know Spring weather is only a couple of months away; at most. This means that we can start looking at Spring Accessories without feeling like freaks. At Coccinelle some of the new stock has already started trickling into the store and it's beautiful...the classics in bright colours are there, along with new styles in perfect colour and pattern combinations! Time to update the bag wardrobe for summer me thinks!

Check out some pics below:

Fringe details are such a major trend for next season!

LOVE LOVE this colour combination

I want to wear these bags together - I do really, well I have a lot of stuff...

So cute!! Pouches have really been a hit this year, both to be used alone or inside larger bags.

Bright Colours ! Spring ! Summer ! Soon !

If you love bags as much as I do go and check out their store in Tower Road Sliema, right next to Solaris and you might want to give their facebook page a look.
