Outfit Post : Milan Fashion Week Day 2

On the second day of Milan Fashion Week, it was warm enough to not wear a coat and after 6 days of being bundled up I was quite happy to be without one. I decided to try a style (midi skirt + sweater + sneakers...I also really needed to rest my feet from any sort of heel) that I've never actually worn before, it was actually quite London catwalk inspired as I saw so many similar looks walking down the catwalk albeit a bit more fanciful or twisted. I also added slightly darker eye makeup.

You might realise / you might not, but my sweater is actually worn back-to-front, I decided I like it more like that ! I decided to do a spot of shopping on that day - you can't go to Milan and not shop and I was also gifted a lovely gift from La Perla ::D

Alsoooo if you look at my right hand I'm wearing a new watch - An ANDY BABY swatch, whilst in London I posted this photo to my instagram as part of their daily competition and I won, apparently it was all due to the pom poms.

Urban Travel : Time for a CUPPA

Winter is all about casual wear and comfortable, warm clothes, for me, one of the most essential winter wardrobe items is a good anorak that will protect you from the wind and rain ...most people tend to buy black anoraks but I like the idea of a bright one, like this one from MEXX, something that can brighten up a gloomy day. I'm also quite obsessed with beanies..you may have realised....not only do they keep you warm but they also hide bad hair :D

The problem with having a photographer-husband and asking him to shoot your outfits is that sometimes you end up with photos you haven't asked for - I did plan to shoot this outfit, but I was simply enjoying a cup of green tea and looking at the view out of the window when he very sneakily drew up beside me and started clicking away (the last one is a half pose after I semi agreed)...and then flat out refused to shoot the outfit again ....

Urban Travel : Beanies and Festivities AHOY

It's beanie weather and I couldn't be happier - it's also festive season soon which means time to start sourcing those statement pieces. This high-waisted, black skirt from MEXX couldn't be more perfect.

The fit is amazing, the pattern eye catching and he colour..- well black is a 'non-colour' so it can match with sooo many different colours. I decided to mix it up a little and show how versatile it is - I paired it with a floral sheer top, a beanie, and this brilliant anorak / coat. This is a great outfit for when you want to be dressed up not too dressed up.

To make it a bit 'dressier' you could switch to a coat or cape, remove the beanie and add a pair of delicate heels.

Outfit Post : Little Red Riding Bag

Being Coccinelle's band ambassador in Malta really helps feed/encourage my leather handbag addiction and I'm not sure if that is a good or bad thing but basically - it's a new season means it's a new bag and this red tote bag made from textured leather is an absolute beauty. I love the chrome detailing at the top and the discreet logo at the bottom, the colour is a cross between red and pink (it's a bright red not a ark red) and the fact that it can hold lots of stuff without loosing its shape.

So I decide to visit Gozo (yes again, hubby had an errand to run) for the day last weekend, not great weather, a bit windy and rain but still had a blast and I got to use my new bag :D

I also got to use this beanie for the first time, it was given to me as a birthday pressie last January and I forgot to wear it.

The shoes, sneaker wedges, I bought around last September but they haven't been taken out a lot, they're made of real suede leather and I don't like wearing them in the rain as they'd get tarnished immediately.

My top also got it's first outing..I picked this up in Paris...can't remember the exact band name but it was from a shop that sold a lot of different brands....I love the ringing on it...and it just so happens that ringing is actually v v hot this season.
